Stavroula Karagianni was born in Piraeus, November of 1971.
She finished High School in 1989 and one year later she started her Medical Studies, successfully graduating in 1998. From 2002 until 2003 she did her service in the Health Centre of Nafpaktos’ Clinic, in Glyfada area of Fokida. During this service she was trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the first seminar of Intensive care and Emergency Medicine which was organised by the General Hospital of Arta (Intensive Care Unit). She also received a certificate in "Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)" which was organised by the Greek Department of the American College of Surgeons and the Surgical Clinic of the University of Ioannina (Professor I. Androulakis).
In 2004 she started her speciality in clinical pathology in G.H. of Kefallinia and in 2005 she continued with the speciality of cardiology in the General Hospital of Athens "Elpis", until 2010. During this specialisation, beyond cardiology, she was also trained in G.H. Ippokrateio in cath lab by the professor Chr. Stefanadis and in the late 2010, after succeeding in the exams of the University clinic of Ippokrateio Hospital, she got the title of the medical speciality in Cardiology.
In the beginning of 2011 she started a collaboration as a curator in the ultrasonic cardiographic department of Staff Insurance Organisation of The PPC, as well as the Bioiatriki association for doing cardiological examinations (heart Triplex, Stress test, Holter Test).
In 2013 she was trained in more recent techniques of ultrasounds in the Educational centre of echocardiography of Tzaneio hospital, for six months and after succeeding in the exams, she got the specialization in recent ultrasound techniques (Echo stress, color kinesis, Doppler tissue imaging, Harmonics etc).
She also has the title of Excellence of Lipidology, after giving exams in the Greek company of atherosclerosis.
The doctor is constantly being informed by participating in numerous Panhellenic and European conferences. She is a member of the Greek Cardiological Company, The Greek Atherosclerosis Company and of the echocardiography task group.
From 2011 until today, she has her own practice in the area of Keratsini where she diagnoses and treats patients with hypertension, dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease, cardiac valve disorders, arrhythmia, and heart failure with the use of modern equipment. She has also experienced in undertaking pregnant women with heart conditions, as well as monitoring and regulating hypertension and arrhythmia, caused during pregnancy.
